New Scouts

We have 2 sign up events every year, in September--

1. Recruiting and Information Night, September 18th 2024 at 6:00PM at Rehoboth Congregational Church, 

2. Palmer River Elementary School Open House, September 3rd, 2024.

At these events leaders will be available for questions and you can register electronically on the spot.

Frequency 

Every Wednesday from the end of September to the end of May

Where 

• Den (grade-specific) meetings are typically held at Rehoboth Congregational Church at 139 Bay State Road. 

• Pack Meetings are typically held on the last Wednesday of the month, and the location can vary between Rehoboth Congregational Church, Palmer River Elementary, or the Carpenter Museum field.

• Special events  (Camping, Professional Sports, etc) can be held on weekends or other weeknights.

When

Den meetings are either 5:30pm or 6:30pm depending on what works best for the Pack.  Pack meetings are generally at 6:30pm.

• Annual Registration Fees includes all awards, national registration, Narragansett Council Adventure Card, Fall camping fees, and Pack meetings.

  • $145 paid to the Scouting America at time of online sign-up

  • $55 paid directly to Pack 1 Rehoboth in October

• New Scouts have a uniform cost of approximately $95 for Tiger (1st Grade) and older.  Lions (Kindergarten) pay approximately $40.  Recurring uniform costs are about $45/year.

• Scout Handbook: $24/year

• Scout's Life Magazine: $15/year (optional)

• Den Dues: typically $5/month

• Some Pack Special Events (Winter/Spring Campouts, Professional Sports, etc) have an additional per-participant fee. These events are encouraged, but optional.

Financial Aid:  Narragansett Council reserves funds to ensure that every family, regardless of financial resources, can join.   See the Cubmaster for information.
